Nash Siren R4 Bite Alarm 3 Rod Set

The Nash Siren R4 provides accurate, responsive indication whether you are fishing an English estate lake or battling the most extreme conditions of European inland seas.

It features many advanced and revolutionary functions. Taking Kevin Nash’s speed responsive indication concept from the iconic R3 alarms, the R4 offers levels of control and function that put the angler accutely in touch with their end tackle.

According to Nash the R4 responds to every type of indication caused by carp in any environment. Even when the rod tips are pulling over from weed build up and wave action on hundreds of hectares of water their R4 will still tell you everything you need to know and nothing that you don’t.

Roller Wheel Sensing

- The factory setting for the R4 is a standard line movement sensing across the roller. Roller Wheel Sensing has specific applications such as winter zigging where a slow tightening of the line is expected.

Speed Sensing

- False indications are elminated by two levels of Speed Sensing respond to line movement faster than 1cm and 2cm per second respectively. Both settings also feature the innovative Drift Sensing Safeguard.

Wave Sensing

- Wave action indications (eg when boat fishing) are elminated by two further sensitivity settings featuring Wave Sensing technology.  Alarm events are registered with movement faster than 1cm or 2cm per second and after 15 or 30cm of line movement forwards or backwards over the roller. Both Wave Sensing settings also feature the Drift Sensing Safeguard.

Drift Sensing Safeguard

- The R4’s Drift Sensing Safeguard protects against the rare possibility that line can ‘creep’ from a spool due to weed build up on the line for example – where the pressure and movement on the line is not sufficient to trigger a Speed Sensing system.

Drop Back Sensing

- All the R4’s sensitivity settings feature drop back alert, with a decreasing tone alarm for audible differentiation of the nature of the take.

Guiding Light

- The inventive Homecoming Mode is an ace card of the R4’s features – designed specifically for boat anglers and offering a rear LED on the alarm that when illuminated offers a reference point for navigation back to a swim during the night.

Night Glo

- The Night Glo range of indicators can connect directly to the casing of R4 alarm heads for an LED output that results in a wicked pulsing Night Glo Bobbin or Swing Arm head whenever the alarm LED lights.  Matching indicator bodies co-ordinate to the LED colour options of R4 alarms with an additional option for black bodies with a white LED glow.

How we process your order

It may take up to 24 hours to process your mail order. Collection orders are usually available within the hour subject to opening times. You will receive a 'ready to collect' email to tell you your order is prepared and waiting.

If there is an issue with the products you have ordered we will contact you using the information you have provided.

Very rarely we will be out of stock of an item that has been indicated as in stock, we may subsequently put your order on hold. You will be contacted by email to inform you of this and will be advised of an approximate delivery date for this item. If agreeable with you, we will despatch the remainder of your order to you; the out of stock item(s) will then be despatched as soon as available. You will not be charged any additional delivery costs for the extra delivery.

Where applicable, we will remove any unnecessary packing to make your delivery more compact and save any additional postage cost that might have to be applied. If you would like to ensure you receive complete packaging, please contact us or add this to the notes when completing your purchase.

Deliveries will normally arrive Monday to Friday, excluding all bank holidays. The delivery timescales are only a guide. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee any delivery times but will always try and get your order to you as fast as possible.

Please note that standard courier deliveries are usually made between 8.00am and 5.30pm. All deliveries must be signed for at the shipping address only.

Missing or incorrect items must be reported within 3 days of receipt of goods.

Mainland UK Delivery

Orders to the value of £60.00 or more will be sent post free.

If items that were sent post free are returned as unwanted, our standard charge of £7.99 will be deducted from the value of your refund for the returned goods.

If items are returned to us as undelivered despite attempts to deliver and no collection made a charge of £7.99 will be applied before your refund.

Orders are sent using either Royal Mail 1st Class or UK Mail 24 Hour Parcel Services.

Our post is usually collected by 2.30pm each day. Orders received close to or after this time will be processed the next day.

Large items that are 1.4m or more in length or over 24kg will be shipped at the cost of £19.99 per parcel.

Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly

Deliveries of standard parcels up to 24kg to addresses in these areas will be charged at the cost of £19.99.

Parcels of 25kg and over or 1.4m long or 80cm or more on 2 sides will be quoted individually. 

Returns

We are happy to cancel, exchange unsuitable or unwanted products, as long as they are returned to us in original condition and have not been used or altered in anyway, within seven working days of delivery. Under these circumstances the postal charges will not be refunded. If we have made an error with your order or have sent you the wrong item by mistake, we will resolve with the error as fast as possible and also refund any additional postal charges.

Any products that are returned for non-broken reasons (e.g. unwanted after cooling off period) may incur a restocking charge of up to 15%.

Faults

Most items sold by Melton Angling come with at least a 12 month manufacturer's warranty. If a product develops a fault within the warranty period, assistance will be provided by way of spares, repair or replacement depending on the type of product purchased. Wear and tear is not covered by any manufacturer's warranty.

Any item that was found faulty at the point of delivery may be returned for free repair, replacement or refund, provided you have the original receipt or alternative proof of purchase, and the faulty item is returned complete with all components and original packaging. All faults & defects must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Please note that you will not be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund in respect of fair wear and tear.

When returning an item, please attach a note explaining details of any fault, along with your customer order number and your personal details inside the parcel. Please package your item(s) securely. All items returned by post are returned at your cost. You are advised to obtain a certificate of posting using a recorded service (available from all Post Offices at no charge) when returning items by post. If you post your item(s) back to us, we will endeavour to send you a replacement or refund your payment within 14 days, providing you have provided us with the necessary information inside the return parcel.
